Linen's natural texture softens and warms orange tones, particularly in terracotta shades where the organic variation in the weave adds character. Cotton percale produces a cleaner, more uniform colour that suits more saturated shades well. Both hold their colour with correct care.

Linen is particularly durable and tends to hold its shape and colour well over years of regular use. Cotton percale is also hardwearing with correct care; washing at the right temperature and avoiding high-heat tumble drying will maintain the finish over time.

Care instructions depend on the material. For linen and linen-cotton blend, wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle and line dry or tumble on low heat. For cotton, wash at 40–60°C and tumble dry on low. Avoid bleach with any coloured bedding. Full care instructions are on the product label.
